Meet Duncan!  His story is a sad one.  He was rescued by a good samaritan in the country outside of Oklahoma City where we suspect he was dumped.  We can't imagine why someone would want to dump this sweet and friendly boy!  Duncan has never met a stranger.  His rescuer took good care of him until GPMR was able to pick him up - she was his guardian angel!  It is clear that he was not well cared for by his original owner.  He has cruciate ligament injuries on both rear legs that were never repaired so he has lost a lot of muscle.  He is heartworm positive and also has a tick disease that we are treating.  Duncan's front teeth are very worn down and he will probably need to get them pulled so that the nerves are not exposes.  On top of all of this, Duncan is deaf.  He doesn't let any of that get him down, we estimate his age at about 9 years old but he's a pretty spry guy for a senior.

Duncan's foster mom is generously sponsoring a lot of his medical care, so he's been able to go to water therapy to help his back legs as well as accupuncture.  He has been a trooper through all of his vet visits, that tail never stops wagging!
