Meet Gus! He was found as a stray in rural TX, and when his finder was unable to locate his owner after a couple of weeks, he was taken to a local shelter and GPMR Rescued him from there once his stray time was up.

Gus was pretty confused about all of the changes the first 2 days, but by day 3 he was pretty settled into his foster home and loving this new thing called "a bed". Gus is in pretty good health and the vet estimates him between 7 and 8 years old. He was heartworm negative thankfully! When he went in for neuter surgery, he had 3 large growths removed at the same time and thankfully all were benign tumors called sebaceous cysts. He has some small lumps that appear to be the same thing. So we'll continue to watch those but they were small enough that they didn't need to be removed at this time.

Gus is doing well with the other dogs in his foster home and also doesn't seem to mind the kitties. He's a very affectionate boy!

Gus is being fostered in Edmond, OK.
