  • Color: Brindle

Meet Rosie Mae. She is 4-6 years old and a beautiful reverse brindle. She is a very sweet girl who seems to get along with everyone she meets once she warms up.  She was found as a stray about a month ago and a good samaritan took her in and has been caring for her, but her house is too active and busy for Rosie Mae's tastes and they feel it's best she goes to a calmer home where she can be the center of attention.

Update 6/19/09:

Rosie takes a little time to warm up to people and is more timid around men.  Once she warms up to someone, she is extremely affectionate.  She will gently nudge your hand to keep petting her and she really does want to be with her human as much as possible.  She LOVES: to be pet, to be brushed, to get treats and to just be loved on.  She'll make someone a very loyal best friend.  She gets along fine with other dogs but she's not one that will run and play with the younger dogs.  She's more of a "couch potato".  She would do better in a home with moderate to light activity.  She has met children and seems to like them but we haven't had her living with children or cats.

Update 7/2/09: We added some new pictures of this gorgeous girl.  Also the vet said she is closer to 4-6 years of age rather than the 7 years as we first thought.
