GPMR does not have a shelter. All of our dogs are kept in loving foster homes. We must have a completed adoption application on file before meeting any of our mastiffs.
  
GPMR adopts to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and parts of Colorado. 
!!!Any mastiffs being adopted out of the state of Oklahoma require a health certificate to be paid for by the adopter!!!

Meet Opie! He was surrendered to a shelter in TX when his owners were moving and unable to bring to take Opie with them. The shelter contacted us and we were happy to bring this sweet boy into GPMR! He is a handsome fawn boy, with some darker markings, he is quite handsome and a little under 2 years old. The shelter reported he was non-reactive to dogs at the shelter and ignored the cats as well although we have not observed him with cats while in our rescue.

Opie is house and crated trained although he prefers to be out of it when his people are home and at night. He loves to play, sleep and eat. He does ok on car rides except needs to be tethered or have someone holding him, as he wants to hang out of the window or help you drive! He loves to go for walks, and is mostly leash trained and doesn't really pull and stays right next to you. Opie is the definition of a Velcro dog, he loves his people and wants to be near them at all times. Opie would greatly benefit from another younger dog to play with and someone who is home more than not. We will only adopt him to a home that has a canine companion as that would make him the happiest.

Opie would do well in a family with older kids (5 and up), he still has some puppy energy and would be too much for little kids. He really is the sweetest dog!
