Meet Gus! He came to our rescue when his owners had twin babies and just didn't have any time anymore to devote to Gus. He recently turned 4 and is about 150 lbs.

Gus is a big happy boy who loves to be with his people. He is a typical velcro Mastiff and will follow you around the house. He is being fostered with a puppy, a parrot, goats and horses and seems to like everyone. He lived with a small dog in his previous home, but he doesn't know his size and could accidentally hurt a small dog during play. His previous home had a cat as well that Gus just ignored. He doesn't like to share his food bowl with other dogs and would need to be fed separately from his housemates.

Gus enjoys the water and was even brave enough to take a swim in his foster family's pool!

Gus enjoys going for car rides and walks, he didn't seem to have much leash training so his foster mom is helping him with that. He can be nervous in new settings and his foster home is working on helping him gain confidence. Older children 6 and up would be better because he doesn't seems to know how big he is and would definitely knock little ones over accidentally.  Gus is well behaved in his foster home and just needs someone to help him continue to build confidence when he is in new situations.

Gus is being fostered near Dallas/Fort Worth, TX.
