UPDATE:    Lola is doing really well in her foster home. She has finished her medicines, put on some weight and is ready for adoption. She looks and feels great – such a pretty girl! She is crate trained, likes car rides, and loves her toys and belly rubs. She is getting along with her foster sister. Since she does tend to want to be the dominant female in her house, we think she would do well as an only dog or with a submissive male or female. She has been around a toddler and does fine; however, due to her young age and energy level, a home with older kids would be better. She is a sweet girl that deserves to be loved and to have a better life than she’s had in her short time.

Meet Lola! She was rescued by a good Samaritan from a neglect situation. She had a collar embedded in her neck, was emaciated, and had a skin infection from having so many fleas. She was nursed back to health and transferred to GPMR. Once in our care, we discovered she had 2 different types of tick diseases and is finishing up medications to treat those.

Lola is a super sweet girl. She did find an adoptive home, but very sadly was returned because she was not getting along with the resident female dog. At this time we are evaluating if Lola can be placed with other dogs. She is great with all of the people she's met, and we'll consider a home with older children for her, but no kids under 7. And no kitty friends for this girl - she loves to chase!

Consider this gorgeous girl for your family today!

Lola is being fostered in Tulsa, OK.
