Meet Magnus! He came to GPMR because he was having a serious case of separation anxiety in his home that his family was not able to manage. Using a combination of prescription medications and holistic remedies, we've been able to successfully manage his anxiety so far. Magnus will require a patient family who is willing to continue the training we've started with him. He hasn't received much basic obedience training which is the first step in managing his anxiety. We've started weaning some of his medications down and are sure he will eventually be able to be weaned off the majority of medications if not all of them! Magnus has also had extensive knee surgery to correct a patella problem and a torn ACL. We had him rechecked by the vet who performed the surgery and he was thrilled with the progress Magnus has made on the leg. He will likely always have a limp on that side, but he runs and plays with no troubles! He was born in May 2015 so still very much a puppy! He has a beautiful Apricot coat that is soft as velvet. He has done great with the dogs in his foster home and really just wants to play. He does OK with the cat as well but will chase cats that run from him. Magnus has been raised with kids but at his age he can still be mouthy to play and we're working on that but kids over 5 would be best. This boy is really tall for his age and at 115 lbs has a lot of filling out to do! Magnus is being fostered in Yukon, OK. More about MagnusGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
