Meet Hank! He came into the rescue when his owner had a new baby with special needs and wasn't able to provide for Hank like she wanted to. He is about 5 years old and a very handsome Apricot boy. Hank was living outside a lot prior to coming to us but he's adjusted very well to living indoors. He was crate trained already and often will go in just to take a nap. He does have a habit of begging for food in the kitchen so we're working on teaching him that people food is not for him. He'a a healthy weight at 155 lbs and doesn't need to be gaining any more!

Hank has been living with small kids and small dogs in his previous home and did great with them. He has a very gentle nature. His owner reports he did great with cats too. He lives with another Mastiff in his foster home, so he does well with dogs both big and small. He's a happy boy and that tail of his keeps a waggin'!

Other than an ear infection, Hank has been pretty healthy. He tested negative for heartworms. He does have a bow-legged appearance in his hind end, he doesn't limp and it doesn't seem to bother him other than being a little slow to get up and down off the floor sometimes when he's laying down. At his age he could definitely be developing some arthriitis so we've started him on joint supplements.

Hank is being fostered in Guthrie, OK.
