Meet Maddie! This sweet girl found herself at a shelter in TX. She was underweight, infested with fleas, and missing about 1/3 of her hair! Thankfully the shelter reached out to us and she came to GPMR. Maddie is the absolute sweetest girl! She's charmed everyone she's met. Maddie thankfully tested negative for heartworms, she's getting spayed this week and will be ready for adoption soon. The vet guessed her age at 3 to 4 years old, but she's got some wear on her teeth from chronically chewing on something, and it makes it harder to guess her age.

We've been battling skin infections with Madde since she came in. The vet suggested we try a prescription allergy diet to see if it helps to keep her from being so itchy. Her new owners should be prepared for this expense - if the food works for her, she'll need to stay on it long term. We have her on the Royal Canin HP, but the Hills ZD would work as well.

Maddie gets along with dogs, cats, and even horses! She's been around some kids that have visited the home and has done great with them. She's just a great girl!

Maddie is being fostered in Wichita Falls, TX.
