Meet Big Guy! This handsome hunk was surrendered by his owner when he wasn't getting along with the male German Shepard in the home. Both dogs were un-neutered and Big Guy lived with other dogs and did not have issues with them. Unfortunately when you have 2 large male dogs who aren't altered, this is often the result. We were happy to bring Big Guy into Rescue. He is 140 pounds.

Big Guy is now neutered, he tested negative for heartworms but positive for a tick disease called Ehrlichia and is being treated for that. Other than some ear issues, he got a clean bill of health! He lived in a rural area and was an outside dog mostly but is enjoying the comforts of being an indoor dog. He doesn't potty in the house and is pretty well behaved. Unfortunately he's never gotten in and out of cars much so we are working on that as well as basic commands.

Big Guy is reported to be good with kids and he is fostered with a female Mastiff and does fine with her. We haven't evaluated him with cats.

Big Guy is being fostered in Edmond, OK.
