Meet Pistol! She is one of several dogs that we took for the Dallas SPCA that were part of a neglect case. She was the last one of the group that we were able to rescue. Thankfully all of the dogs have already found homes and Pistol is ready for hers as well.

Pistol is about 10 years old. She tested positive for heartworms and went through treatment at the SPCA. They took care of all of her medical needs and now we are working on getting her used to life in a home, as she was kenneled for 9 months at the SPCA, and who knows what her life was before that.

Her foster mom reports that she is a little shy at first with new people but warmed up to them very quickly. She has good doggie manners other than not being 100% housebroken. This is not her fault however, she likely was never really housetrained where she lived. They will keep working with her on this. Pistol just needs a soft place to lay her head for whatever time she has left!

Pistol is being fostered in DFW area, TX.
