GPMR does not have a shelter. All of our dogs are kept in loving foster homes. We must have a completed adoption application on file before meeting any of our mastiffs.
  
GPMR adopts to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and parts of Colorado. 
!!!Any mastiffs being adopted out of the state of Oklahoma require a health certificate to be paid for by the adopter!!!

Meet Axel! This sweet boy came to GPMR when his owners were no longer able to keep him for financial reasons. He is a 3-4 year old handsome brindle boy. He was a little confused when he first came in but has settled into his routien and doing great!

Axel is good to free roam inside the home, with the exception of the throw pillows on the couch - if he gets a hold of one. he'll have it shredded in no time. He doesn't bother anything else but loves those pillows. He is good with other dogs and is very calm around the cat.  He’s very affectionate and those eyes are irresistible! He does really great on a leash, but doesn’t care much to learn commands. We haven’t gotten him to sit or lay down until he’s good and ready. He's well behaved so it hasn't really been an issue to train him. He also doesn't beg for food when people are eating. Such a good boy!

Axel saw our vet and unfortunately tested positive for heartworms. He has a lump that we're having removed first and then he will start heartworm treatment. So it'll be a couple of months before he's ready for a forever home - but don't let them stop you for applying for this sweet guy!
