Meet Goldie! This sweet girl was found wandering in a rural area and when her finders could not locate an owner, she came into GPMR. We think Goldie is a Mastiff/Saint Bernard mix. She is estimated at 3 years old and weighs about 120 lbs.

Goldie is timid in new situations but once she is comfortable in her home, she is a sweet and silly girl. She would do best with a family who are more homebodies as she's not really wanting to be an "out on the town" kinda pup. She prefers the comforts of home!

Goldie is good with cats and also dogs of all sizes. She also has spent time with young children while in our care and did great with them. She is very gentle and loving as long as the kids know how to be respectful with dogs.

Goldie does have separation anxiety and would do best with a family where someone is home most of the time. When she first came in and would be left alone, she would panic and chew on anything she oculd find. We have started her on anxiety medications and she's doing so much better. She will stay contained her crate when her foster family needs to leave the home, and she will still bark a bit. But this is a huge improvement from where she was. Sometimes these dogs who have been abandoned have issues being alone. Goldie is slowly learning that she will be OK and her family is coming back! She likely will need to take medications long term before she's left alone to help relax her.

Goldie is healthy other than testing positive for heartworms which she is getting treated for. Once that's completed she'll be ready for adoption!

Goldie is being fostered in Guthrie, OK
