Meet Brewer aka NK! This new kiddo was found wandering in a neighborhood in Oklahoma City. He was living there for 2-3 weeks when we were contacted for assistance to get him safe before he got hit by a car. They had made attempts to find an owner and posted him online with no luck. We took him in and held him at a local vet's office for 2 more weeks but no one came for him. Brewer is estimated around 2 years old. He's done great with the other dogs he has met. We are currently evaluating him with cats, he does fine with calm cats but may chase cats who are prone to run around the house. He does know a couple of basic commands and we're working on others. He definitely would try to dart out the door when he first came in so we're teaching him to sit and wait before he goes out. Brewer is generally is very calm and well behaved. He has a very soft and sweet personality. In his foster home he is very calm for his age and will have the zoomies outside but pretty laid back inside. He would probably do well with kids but we also think he will match the energy level of his home. So with active kids he likely will be more playful and active. Brewer is your typical velcro Mastiff where he wants to be with his people all the time. He does have some separation anxiety so we are looking for a home where someone is home at least part of the day. He would not be happy being home alone all the time. He is crate trained and does well in there and doesn't try to get out. If he's left out of the crate and home alone, he will tear stuff up. Brewer is healthy, he did have an anal gland infection but that has been treated. He is heartworm negative! He is ready for his forever home. Brewer is being fostered in Guthrie, OK.
