Stretch was rescued with his sister and brother from his owner/breeder when she was unable to care for them.  This sweet poor soul was in terrible shape the day of his rescue.  All of the pups were living outside and covered in flies.  They were all treated for mange, skin infections and eye infections.  They were so itchy, that they were biting themselves raw. 

 

All 3 pups were very underweight, but Stretch was emaciated.  At just 40 pounds he was almost half the weight of his siblings.  He is definitely the quietest of the 3 and preferred to go lay by himself rather than with his brother and sister.  We named him Stretch because as soon as we got into the vet's office, he took one big, relaxed stretch and we could tell that he knew he was in a better place now.

 

Stretch is doing great in foster care, eating well and putting on some weight.  His skin is much improved.  He lives with 2 small dogs and a 5 year old girl and does great with all of them.  He does like to chase the cat some and in typical puppy fashion he will try to eat things he's not supposed to.  He loves to romp and play in the yard and even more so loves getting attention from his family and is their constant companion.  This sweet boy has a lot of love to offer!
