5/15/12 Update: Eve has completed her heartworm treatment and the vet has given her the "all clear" to be available for her forever home! Her foster mom reports that her personality is really coming out now, she is a silly girl who likes to make faces at you to get attention. She has a nice "smile" that she'll give you when you talk to her. Very comical indeed!
4/1/2012 Update: Eve has started her heartworm treatment and is doing well! She get's along great with her mastiff foster brothers and sisters and they are accepting her into their "pack". Eve is still somewhat timid with new people but warms up quickly and wants to be your best friend. Due to her timid demeanor we would recommend an adult home only. Meet Eve! She was rescued from a puppy mill with Nick and many other breeds of dogs. She is a very dignified and beautiful Mastiff! Eve is timid at first but warms up quickly especially with other dogs around. This girl will definitely need other canine friends in her home. She does well with old kids but little ones may be scary for her. With a little time and patience she came out of her shell quickly and started playing with her dog toys. No more puppy mill days for this girl!!! She spends the rest of her days as a loving companion instead! Eve was recently diagnosed with a condition called Spondylosis, where she has bone spurs that have formed on her spine as a result of disk problems in her back. Because of this, at some point Eve will need to be put on an anti-inflammatory medication like Rimadyl for the remainder of her life.
Eve is also heartworm positive so she'll be on medical hold for several weeks while she receives treatment.
Eve is being fostered in Duncanville, TX. More about EveGood with Dogs
