UPDATE:  Darla is an absolute love bug. She enjoys the human touch and would be content to be near her family with them petting her hours a day.  She does not like to be left alone, and is still somewhat skittish in unknown situations. Even some normal outside sounds seem new and alittle frightening to her.
Darla still has some puppy in her and needs a forever family who will continue her basic training.  She will make an awesome addition to the family who is will to is willing to continue her training and give her the love (and the petting) she so deserves!

Darla lost her home due to divorce and we were happy to take her. This girl is so sweet!  She lived with kids of all ages in her previous home. She does well with other dogs and cats too. We think she would be happiest with a canine companion that would like to play with her. At 16 months she is still very much a puppy. She is housebroken but like any puppy needs to learn basic commands and so we're working with her on that. We'd love to see her adoptive family take her through a basic obedience group class!

Darla is being fostered in Edmond, OK.
