The event is completely 100% non- profit and all the proceeds raised at the event will go directly back to the rescues participating. The activities will be a 5k run with your dog, one mile fun run/walk, food trucks, vendors, games & a chance to win cash prizes. BE SURE TO WEAR YOUR BEST HAWAIIAN OUTFIT! Comes dressed for a Luau! Oklahoma Alliance for Animals (OAA), animal welfare organizations and shelters around Green Country, are coming together for the 10th Annual “Woofstock,” Oklahoma’s largest and grooviest pet adoption event scheduled for Saturday, September 26th from 10 am to 2 pm at Riverwalk Crossing in Jenks. “Woofstock” activities include: •Adoptable pets from over 35 animal rescue organizations and shelters. All newly adopted pets will receive a FREE micro-chip, ID tag, goody bag (Courtesy of OAA), Wellness exam (courtesy of the Mobile Pet Vet) and a photo with their newly adopted pet (courtesy of Bob Foshay Photography) •The Million Mutt March, a walk to stomp out animal cruelty will kick off this year’s Woofstock •Pet Contests (11 am – Grooviest Costume, 12 noon – Best Trick, 1 pm – Cutest Puppy) •$20 micro-chipping and $5 ID tags from Oklahoma Alliance for Animals •Pet related vendors and businesses •Food Trucks This year’s event will be kicked off by the Million Mutt March, a walk benefiting OAA to help provide funds to help stomp out animal cruelty! GPMR's booth will be located on the south side of 4th street near Elm Street (near YNB). Yukon Czech Festival officially kicks off Saturday at 8 a.m. Thousands line Main Street from Garth Brooks Boulevard to 3rd Street for one of Oklahoma’s largest parades beginning at 10 a.m. Following the parade, festivities shift to the Czech Building at 5th and Cedar with polka bands and traditional folk dance performances throughout the day. Sample traditional Czech foods including kolaches and sausages prepared by the Oklahoma Czechs, Inc. Members and volunteers bake more than 2,500 dozen kolaches which sell out every year. Shop dozens of arts and crafts booths and festival food vendors. Then join us at 4 p.m. for the coronation of the 2015 Oklahoma Czech Royalty including a Queen, Junior Queen, Prince and Princess. The festival concludes with the Royalty Coronation Ball at the historical Yukon Czech Hall at 205 N. Czech Hall Road. Everyone is welcome to come dance to the music of the Masopust and Bohemian Knights bands. The mission of the Oklahoma Czechs, Inc. is to preserve the precious traditions of the Czech people. The Oklahoma Czech Festival keeps Yukon’s heritage alive by sharing of the Czech customs handed down from generation to generation.
