Meet Ben! He came to GPMR when his family was moving and didn't take him with them. Ben is such a happy and friendly boy - he doesn't know a stranger! We're glad he came to us, he is extremely underweight at 103 pounds and now he is 140lbs. It's clear he lived mostly outside in his former home so he's getting used to the comforts of being inside with his foster family. They've started teaching him basic commands and he's picking things up quickly. We were told he was 4 years old when we got him, but the vet thinks he is closer to 2 years.

Ben lived with kids in his previous home and does great with the 7 year old in his foster home, but he's on the active side for a Mastiff so a home with kids 5 or older would be best. Ben gets very excited meeting new dogs but seems to do well with them as long as they don't mind this initial excitement. He's met cats at the vet's office and done fine but would likely chase cats that run away from him.

Ben is a true velcro Mastiff and is never far from his people. This boy has lots of love to give!

Ben is being fostered in Edmond, OK.
