Mastiff : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : X-Large
Meet Daisy! Daisy is what we call a "pocket Mastiff" meaning she is much smaller than a typical Mastiff her age. Right now she's around 90 lbs and won't be more than 100 lbs full grown. She's got all of the Mastiffs features in a compact package.
Daisy was surrendered to GPMR by her owner when she developed a football sized growth on her side and he coldn't afford to take her to the vet. We got her in right away and the growth is not a growth but rather a large fluid filled pocket. Our vet drained 2 pounds of fluid out! It had filled back up a little bit so we did cold laser therapy to help it heal. Now there is no more fluid and she's doing great! Daisy tested negative for heartworms. She is healthy and has been vaccinated, spayed and dewormed. She has a very playful personality especially when outside and likes to run and hop around. Her expression is priceless! Daisy has done well with the other dogs in her foster home although she does better with male dogs than females. She loves to play with the male Mastiff in her foster home and has a funny habit of taking toys and piling them on her up. She's done well with older kids, but small kids make her a little nervous so we're looking for a home with kids ages 10 and up. Daisy's adoption fee is $450. She is being fostered in Guthrie, OK.
