Meet Otis! This sweet boy came to GPMR from a family that loves him very much but could no longer keep him. They described him as the perfect family dog. The day we met him, we knew how hard it was for them to let go because they were right, he is perfect! He is good with kids and other dogs, we were told he is scared of cats!

Although he is the size and stocky build of a Bullmastiff, he has a handsome English Mastiff face and temperament. He has a vibrant apricot coat with pitch black markings. In addition to being stunningly beautiful, Otis is healthy! He was treated for ear infections (his owner said he gets these on/off) and will need routine ear rinses to maintain healthy ears. But unlike a lot of dogs, Otis will sit still and let you take care of him. At 7 years old, he is very docile and calm. He enjoys napping near people and will play in short bursts followed by more napping. Otis is polite and obedient. He rarely barks and is house trained. He has free roam of the house when left, he’s never been destructive.

If you’ve been looking for a rescue dog that has a known background and doesn’t come with baggage, meet Otis. He is already a great pet, he just needs a new home. He would be a great dog for a first time Mastiff owner!

Otis is being fostered in Yukon, OK.
